Abe learns

Abe is really enjoying kindergarten. He comes off the bus happy every day.

He mostly tells me about recess and the boys he plays with - star wars and super heroes and such. He enjoyed music time playing the cymbals (what a patient music teacher they must have to handle all that noise!).

He is making paper-bag puppets to go along with each letter to help them learn the sounds. Thus far he has done "i" and "t". I love that he enjoys school.

He had to memorize the Pledge of Allegiance his first week of school. Here is one of his first times doing it all the way through:

He also learned our phone number and address. We put each to a song so he could remember. The phone number is to "Let's get down to business" song from Mulan.

And the Address song is to uhhh - ok - I don't know what it's called - some classical song that came to me in the middle of the night. Call me and I'll sing it to you. Here is the video of Abe singing phone and address:

I love that he sings his address and phone number. Good idea. I should try a song for our phone number too, Ethan hasn't got it down yet. Kindergarten is so much fun.

I forgot to watch these before the computer went to Denver for a week, so I'll watch this weekend. Abe, learn well--you look great!
