Jumble Bumble of Things

I realized today I was being a complainer about my blessings. Somehow I get irritated with the ones I love. I wonder why life isn't just as I want (EASY!)- when really I have it pretty great!

I'm afraid I'm a control freako sometimes. (oh and slightly an irrational and emotional pregnant lady.) Sigh... Sorry fam...

So tonight I tried to mellow out and look at what was good.
We've got some randoms here:
1 - These are miracle flowers... I kid you not. Abe gave me this tiny Mother's Day Plant which I put in this pot with Hannah's plant from school. Well - they sat on my table and didn't always get watered. I completely thought it was dead (though it was still green - just not growing and no more flowers). Hannah's wilted to dust. Finally I just put it outside by the back stairs to get it out of my kitchen. Well - the sprinklers and sun tended to it and it bloomed... and grew ... and bloomed some more ... and grew. And soon it filled the entire pot. It is our miracle Mother's Day flower.

2 - The other night I made the Price Family gynormous cinnamon rolls (like the size of a pizza pan). I guess I hadn't made these in years because my kids didn't remembered eating them. Hannah loved helping dip them in butter and cinnamon and sugar. And Abe loved eating them. This one he really wanted me to take a picture of because it looked like a 'C'. Yummy.

3 - Just playing outside while Jimmy was at scouts. I look like I've been through a full day of mothering - which I suppose I had.

4 - Decided to attempt making rolls since Hannah just loves them. These were white with some wheat germ and actually were quite tasty. I'm seriously a baking dork and had to call my mom 3 times during the roll-making-process. But I was proud of my efforts.

5 - Max - oh Max. He's quite the kiddo. He's doing more talking and making efforts to say words. He won't say CAR but he'll say 'VROOM'. I just thought he looked cute in his jacket after our morning walk to the bus stop.

6 - I was likin' my kiddos and wanted to remember them all running around the backyard playing. I'm trying to appreciate the weather and green grass because soon enough I know it will be brrrrr-cold-winter and we'll be stuck inside. Get out all that energy now kids! Max is funny because if the kids are posing, he loves to go stand by them and be a part of the action.

7 - This summer we bought 6 trees for our yard. We got 3 maples - two red and one yellow maple. The tree right in front of the shed is a blooming pear. Then we got 2 Quaking Aspens - which I really think are dead now - sad! The 2 maples in the front yard started turning Autumn Shades a few weeks after we planted them (we heard from the high temps). They haven't lost their leaves so hopefully they will live. And the tree (i posted about earlier) which Hannah retied the leaves back on, has all dead leaves, but new sprouts and branches growing. Go figure! We've never had trees to care for before and hopefully they won't all die. We also put down weed cover and mulch even though we still need to plant shrubs and flowers. I have 50 Tulip bulbs waiting for me to plant. Won't that be a joy next spring!!!
