so very GLAD

I've followed the blogs of Paul Cardall (a great LDS pianist) for a few months now. He is one of those inspiring people who has severe health problems but faces his challenges with spiritual strength and faith. What great perspective he has and shares with others!

Just yesterday I was thinking about him and wondered how long he would live without getting a new heart (he's been waiting for over a year).

Then today - what joy!!! - when I read on his blog that he had his heart transplant and that things seem to be going well in his recovery.

One of the quotes that Paul shared on his blog a while ago fits this occasion:

“each time a hope is fulfilled, it creates confidence and leads to greater hope.” Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Isn't it great to rejoice with those who rejoice! I hope his recovery goes very smoothly and he can enjoy his darling family for many years to come.

Hi Heather! Great post. Yes, we are friends with the Cardall's in sort of a round about way. We wree associated with them through the Christmas Box House when I worked there after AFG. We've kept in touch a little here and there through the years...

I'm so VERY HAPPY for their family.
