I loved that Easter and General Conference fell on the same day this year. Easter is such a wonderful day to celebrate the life of Christ.
I was in a big debate (with myself) about whether or not to do Easter Baskets. I went super simple, spent less than $10 on each, and it mostly became snacks and activities for General Conference. And you know what Abe said, "This is the best Easter ever." I thought he would be disappointed since he even remembered what he got last year. I just didn't want the focus to be on the Easter bunny. Next year I'm even downsizing more and maybe doing it on Saturday.
The kids did love, love, love Spring surprises from Grandma and Grandpa... Zhu,Zhu Pets. Hannah got a bunny named Fluffy (she just loves bunnies), Abe got Tex (a cowboy hamster), and Max laughed when his started whirling and twirling all over the kitchen. What fun!
Oh, and don'tcha love Tru's hat that my mom gave us. Truman looked so happy when he wore it. Sweet baby!
I saw this fun idea to make a basket/nest out of yarn. Abe didn't want to get his hands gluey so I did his. Hannah did a great job making 2. They are very homemade but still a fun little project. We dipped Cinnamon Easter Bunnies in chocolate. I had never done it before but it was fun, easy, and tasty.

What a good mom you are! Seriously. Truman's hat is the cutest thing I've ever seen. I love your Easter baskets, they turned out really cute.
I have had the same Easter basket battle in my head for years now. Yet we had Easter baskets growing up every year and it was so fun. Anyway we do do it on Saturday now, and very simplified, but still lots of fun.
