The other day we saw a very interesting show on the History Channel about the history of chocolate. We learned Ghirardelli was the first chocolate company founded in 1852.I was pleased to hear that Semi Sweet Chocolate was the original chocolate (I'm such a fan of Dark Chocolate!), and then later Mars or Hershey incorporated Milk into the recipe which made the chocolate less expensive to produce.
There seems to be many National Chocolate Days according to Candy USA! Ummm... I can handle that!
Go celebrate National Chocolate Day and enjoy some yummy chocolate! I think I'll take a nice cup of Nestle's Rich Hot Chocolate. Yum!
