I'm so excited about our new chore chart. In my efforts to organize our schedule, I've decided my kids need more consistent daily chores. And since they seem so excited about helping at this point in their life, perhaps their energy for it will help get me going on my own chores.
Growing up, my mom made a chart like this with the morning, afternoon, evening reminders of things we need to do and then it had spots for chores to be done. Our plan is if my kids do their morning, afternoon, evening tasks and their daily chore, they can have an 'I Did it!' smiley for that day. If at the end of the week, they have a smiley on every day, they can have a reward... like a fun family activity or fun treat. I guess we'll see how the reward system goes.
Here are the close-ups on the charts. There are some chores I just couldn't find an image for, so I decided 'mom's pick' would do for those odd jobs. If anyone has ideas on what works for their family with chores/rewards, I would love to hear about it. I was also trying to think of a good way to mount the chore chart. It would be cool to frame it so it would be more sturdy.

Oh my heavens Heather -- That is FANTASTIC!! You could so sell those. Very cute and hopefully as effective as it sounds! Nice job!!
Heather- that is so cute, what a great idea! Heck if you do decide to sell them, I would buy one. I am not creative enough to make my own. Thanks for sharing!
Well those are the cutest chore charts I have ever seen! Your kids are going to do a great job and be the best little helpers. We have mostly had a 5 days for the reward deal on the daily jobs so like if they do their daily stuff and extra chore all week, they don't have the extra job on Saturday. That way they can mess up one day, make it up on Saturday and still get prizes. They still have to do the morning, afternoon and evening stuff every day....
Hmm, that took too long to try to explain! sorry.
Okay Heather, have I told you lately how creative you are? I was actually thinking the other day that I need to make a new chore chart. My kids are bored with the one they have. This one is way cute. Thanks for the idea!
I was just about to type "Oh my heavens, Heather, this is just amazing!" when I read Mary's comment. (We must be sisters, Mar!) Truthfully, Heather, this is so incredibly cute and functional and honestly amazing! You're so talented! Hope it works out great for you!
Sounds like it is official.......you better start selling them! Where do I sign up???
Lexie (Andrea Davis' sister) from Idaho :)
Those are so cute! I love them. Are they magnets? And are they printed just on paper? One thing we do with our kids is you can buy blank puzzles and we write or draw a picture of their reward. So after every day they have a smiley face, they get a puzzle peice and when they get all their puzzle pieces they put it together and can see their reward. You could do it weekly or daily. They love it.
I want to order one! Will pay top dollar! I have had "make a chore chart" on my to do list for two months now (along with all of the other chores that go on the chart). It's just not materializing for me. This one is super amazing! Good work girlfriend.
Wow! So cute Heath! I love it. You are seriously AMAZING!!! I have been thinking I need to start making my kids do chores (I know, I am a slacker mom!) and this would be so fun. I hope you don't mind if I print it out. Thank you so much!!!
Do you attach them with velcro?
What a cute idea Heather! I can't believe you made that - it is truly amazing. You are such a great mom!
