Corn ... YUMMMMM

Today at church our Bishop's family announced that they had oodles of extra produce to share from their garden. They have about 1/4 acre garden with loads of corn, tomatoes, peppers, etc.

Feeling kindof silly, we stopped by after church. We got a few tasty cucumbers and peppers. The picked corn was gone, but the Bishop's wife picked us 6 ears of fresh corn. Isn't that so nice?!

So for dinner we had the tastiest, freshest corn-on-the-cob that we've enjoyed all summer. It made me want to buy a field and plant rows and rows of corn. (p.s. I love, love, love shucking corn with Hannah and Abe. They peel it one green piece at a time. Today they were so funny about trying to break off the long stem part. Abe won for being Mr. Muscles.)

Everyone in the family enjoyed it. Even Max made quick work on his corn. Thanks Bishop Gray and family for the tasty Sunday vegetables.

we planted a few things of corn this year. My mom said it wouldn't work unless we had a ton of corn planted. But, guess what? we have about 10 ears out there! I know it isn't a ton, but hey, ten is ten, right?
