Having lived in 4 different states we've experienced different types of weather.

Florida - we had the hugest downpours every summer afternoon. I hardly knew the clouds contained so much moisture. But I began to love that rain that cooled things off a little ... just don't run errands in the afternoon.

Phoenix, Arizona - wow, that was hot... with hardly any rain. I realized there that there was a huge difference between 100 degrees and 115 degrees.

Memphis was of course humid with lots of thunderstorms and rain. I don't miss tornado days though.

and now Utah - the desert. If we get 30 minutes of sprinkles, I rejoice. I miss the rain of Florida and Tennessee that makes everything so green and lush.

But lately we've had cooler days, lots of clouds, and brief rain storms. I am quite enjoying this weather (with open windows and no A/C).

My kids get sad when they can't play outside as often but they did play in the rain one day as one of their 100 fun summer activities:

Overall, I'm enjoying the moisture we're receiving. I love the fresh air of Utah and rain to cool things off. Plus, it means we can make heart-warming meals like meatloaf and baked tators.

Wah-lah - there's our tribute to RAIN in the desert.

Rain in the Rocky Mountain west really cools things off. Nice wet post!
