Conversations with Kids: On a walk, Abe rode his bike by me so he could talk. "Mom, one of my talents in playing the wii. What is one of your favorite talents? Oh wait - let me guess... working and being nice. Another one of your talents is making dinner and yummy treats. Do you like to cook?" Kids talk about such random things. I love it!
Movies with Jimmy: 99% of our dates consist of watching movies after the kids have gone to bed. It's something to look forward to and it's fun to vegetate and not worry about parenting tots.
Books: I've been reading the Anne of Green Gables series and it's fun to enter a different world once the tots go to bed. I love not having to make any more parenting decisions and to just enjoy an easy read for an hour or so. I also enjoy the bits of insight and new ideas I get from reading.
