the dish fairy didn't show up for work today.

hannah said that it was "doolis" who is the baking and cleaning fairy in Never Land. Really it's Dulcie, but Hannah doesn't know how to pronounce it.

then she said that i was "doolis".

which means that "doolis" (aka 'Mother') was watching tots play this morning instead of showing up for kitchen duty.

so - i did what any good fairy would do and put the apprentice to work rinsing dishes while I got lunch going. tinkerbell (aka Hannah) was a delightful helper.

Terence (aka Abe) made his own peanut butter sandwich after snarfing a bowl of noodles.

gary (aka max) ate icey lemonade with a spoon. he let the cheese get soft on his plate and ate half of his sandwich and a bowl of noodles. he tried to snuggle with his blanket during lunch, but "doolis" ended that quickly... after all spaghetti noodles mashed into microfleece isn't very snuggly.

meanwhile, the Minister of Autumn (aka DAD) was at work recovering with a numb mouth from getting 11 - yes, 11 cavities filled. the poor man has only ever had 1 cavity in his life until yesterday.

and now that it is quiet time, "doolis" is enjoying a homemade biscuit with homemade honey butter with a giant sigh...

i wonder what this afternoon will be like in neverland.
