We had several inches of snow on the ground this morning... which was a big deal since all of the snow had melted in our yard. The kids were sad that spring wasn't quite here to stay. I hope the tulips survive!
Today I set a goal to BE with the tots and do a few fun things. This quote inspired me to spend more time with my kids instead of shooing them upstairs with me checking email.
Here's the rundown of our day at home:
Waffles made by Jimmy
Tru and Max in matching jammies
Hannah dresses up like one of her dolls
Abe wears his surfer 'Life is Good' shirt
Hannah swept up all the goobs under the table. Yay!
Making homemade kool-aid playdough
Setting up Trains with Max.
Tru wakes and is so cute.
Tru is also sick with his first cough. Poor him!
Tru joins Max and the trains.
Abe joins Max and Tru with the trains.
Hannah joins all the boys with the trains.
Hannah empties dishwasher and entertains Truman.
Grilled Cheese and soup for lunch... perfect for a snowy day.
Max loves tomato soup. It's either the tomatos... or the salt!
Hannah and Abe watch a movie on our bed for quiet time.
Max does not nap ... he poops instead.
Hannah loves grapefruit. So does mom!
Kids play wii sports resort.
Max eats Oreos.
Hannah entertains Tru while I make food.
Homemade pizza and breadsticks for supper.
Beanbags, pillows, blankets, popcorn, and a movie.
Early Bedtime.
Priesthood blessing for wheezy Tru.
Hopefully we'll all sleep sweetly.
I stuck the camera in my sweatpant's pocket and thought it would be fun to capture our day. I never catch the completely bonkers times because it's too intense. Nor do I take photos of all the fights... too busy refereeing. But it's a glimpse into the pleasant parts of the day I suppose.
We had:
Loads of fussing. No bueno!
A little work from happy helpers.
A few tantrums which ended in being sent to bedrooms.
Good cleaning up from Max.
Lots of tears.
2-year-old hitting 5-year-old... as usual.
Lots of laughs and smiles.
A few fights.
Some peaceful quiet moments.
Lots of together play time.
Crazy bonkers mealtimes as usual.
Mellow movie time.
Yummy food.
Overall... a fine day...
I'm glad I took time to BE with my tots...
they need me...
I love them.
Now, I'm vehry, vehry tired
and must sleep and try to battle this cold.
