So to the pediatrician we went this morning. Bronchiolitis most likely caused by RSV was the diagnosis.
So to the Hospital Respiratory clinic we went to get lil' Tru suctioned out. He, of course, didn't like that a bit, but it sure has helped. We can go back anytime for the next 7 days if we need to, so that is good that they are being watchful.
We sure hope Tru feels better soon so he will be back to his "I want to stand up and look around" self again.
I decided I don't like being in charge of decisions about other's health. I try to educate myself on medical things so I can know when to take my kids in to the doc or E.R... but it's hard to know how serious their condition is sometimes. I don't want to be one of the panic parents who takes their child to the E.R. for some minor cold and cough, but I don't want to wait too long and have their illness worsen quickly. I'm such a worrier ... that mother bear instinct. Anyways...
The good news about this:
1. We have hardly been sick this entire winter. I consider it such a miracle with 2 kids in school and a 2-year-old in nursery (who spits all over the place). I haven't had a cold until now and Truman has been extremely healthy. So, that has been a big blessing.I remembered that Max had RSV when he was 7 weeks old and he made it through.
2. Truman has still been sleeping so well through this sickness. It sure seems like such a blessing that he doesn't cough a bit when he sleeps... even though it sounds like he is coughing up a lung when he's awake. Amazing!
3. I am grateful for modern medicine and for kind doctors and nurses who are so gentle with my children.
4. I am grateful for priesthood blessings and the reminder to place our FAITH and trust in Heavenly Father and He will watch over us.
So - persevere we will!!!
Feel better little Tru... we love you!

:( I hope he gets better soon!
Oh, so sad! Hope it passes quickly and you can all be healthy! So hard to have sick babies, but I'm glad he is still sleeping well! Good luck to YOU to endure. Loves!
