I've had my battles, my tears, my frustrations with the US Postal Service. Having a small business, I've dealt with them a lot.
In Tennessee, I'd about had it with the hours, the employees, the lines, etc. So... I bought a USPS $35 scale, starting printing my postage online (you save up to 14%), and either had it picked up at my doorstep or I drop it off (without having to wait in line). You do have to ship either Priority or Express, but I ship Priority for my business so it works out well.
This system has saved me hours of lines with my small tots. Oh how I love it! Definitely worth the cost for the scale!!!
Just thought I'd share!

you know how much i DREAD going to the post office!
Great idea. Even with the FEDEX discount it's sometimes soooo not worth standing in those lines, especially this time of year.
I love using the scale at home! Once I got a package sent back for 23 cents more postage, but only once. This year our package receiving was closed at the post office, but I took it to a shipping place and just handed it to them without having to wait in line and it got to our destination just right!
