I suppose winter and cold had to arrive sometime. Today seems to be that day. I love this painting called "Really Mom?" by DudaDaze. I feel a little dreary about winter this year ... but I'm working on my attitude about it.Really I don't mind a blizzard as long as I can watch the lovely blustery snow from the warmth of my home. And that is exactly what we did today.
So while it was doing this outside...
we were doing this inside:
building forts and playing with glow bracelets
Max found baby Bessie and carried her around like a baby for half the day. He gave lots of kisses to her.
Aunt Julie came over and the kids made foam masks. Abe and Hannah reenacted Barbie and the 3 Musketeers for us all evening.
We stayed warm and dry enough inside, but our poor little sunflowers in the garden didn't fare so well. Don't they look cold?
We're in for a long winter. Hopefully the kids will use their imagination all winter as well as they did today.

If you figure out how to have a good attitude about winter........please let me know!!! I am starting out pretty negative which worries me. This is how I usually feel in January!
