General Conference - A Spiritual Recharge

I read this great and short article by Brent Top about General Conference. I agree with his words - that it spiritually pumps me up to keep a goin'. Especially this year I'm feeling that desire for spiritual rejuvenation with all that we have going on.

Do you also find that your spiritual “batteries” are recharged by the messages delivered and the spirit that attends the sessions? I do. That is why I love general conference so much." Brent L. Top

Last Saturday initiated the spiritual rejuvenation when I attended the General Relief Society Meeting at the Conference Center. It was GREAT!

I love hearing from our leaders.

I love singing the jubilant hymns and hearing the inspiring choir.

I love that I'm reminded of all that is good and true - charity, temple, priorities, revelation, joy, light, CHRIST.

I love hearing once again that I, as a woman, ought to be "Distinct and different from the world in happy ways." HAPPY - yes, always a goal.

I love that I was reminded that as I fulfill my Relief Society / Gospel Duty, the angels can be our associates. I need that strength!

Sooo... I'm excited for Conference this weekend. I hope I can glean something out of it even with tots roaming about.

Hunter, “when knowledge and testimony are increased and solidified that God lives and blesses those who are faithful. . . . a time when souls are stirred and resolutions are made to be better husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, more obedient sons and daughters, better friends and neighbors.” (Conference Report, October 1981)
