This is our Day

"I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all." Laura Ingalls WilderMy day started out at 6 a.m. with Maxwell needing to be fed. Abe heard us and got up waaaay too early. Between Abe peeing all over his pjs and bed at midnight and feeding Max at 2 a.m., I was a wee bit tired.

I wanted only to be Heather today and not the responsible mama with laundry, dishes, and boogie noses calling out to me. I even went back to bed and tried hiding under the covers but that didn't work.

Soooooo - I had a perspective check and once again I'm glad to be the mother of these 3 little ones. (though I'm still totally up for a sunshiney day at the beach.)
Quote by Rebecca Cooper, "When I sit down to scrapbook this ordinary life of mine, something always seems to happen. As I look at pictures of our little family doing what we do every day, I start to see things in a different light. Boring becomes beautiful, ordinary becomes extraordinary. Scrapbooking has this funny way of changing my perspective and reminding me of what's most important. It helps me find joy in the littlest things - perhaps even in changing all those dirty diapers. (Well, maybe that's pushing it.)" ~I love this gal and her 'real.life.scrapbooking' perspective

Well said Heather. On the days I want to be ME, I do the same things! And I love Rebecca's perspective too....her book Real.Life.Scrapbooking is great!

Cute page!

I love that 'boring becomes beautiful and ordinary becomes extraordinary.' It's so true, we just need the right perspective and each moment becomes something to treasure!

Yea for you being a great mom with excellent perspective. The mom is the most important job ever.
