When my sister Amy heard we might be heading West (she just moved to Ohio and was feeling glad to be within driving distance.), she found a cheap last minute flight so she could see us before all the craziness of baby and moving happened. It was fun to have her visit for a quick weekend trip. Hannah and Abe just smothered her (elbows and all) the entire time and loved all the stories she willingly read and sports they played in the backyard.
The unfortunate circumstance occurred Sunday morning when I got the blasty-nasty flu. I tried so hard to get ready and make it out the door, but alas, my stomach couldn't contain itself. So poor Amy stayed home with her half-delirious sister for the day. I was so grateful for her willing and optimistic nature as she did all the dishes, cooked an awesome chicken-cordon-bleu dinner, watched the kids all day while Jimmy was at meetings, made cookies, scrubbed the bathrooms, etc, etc. She really is going to have to go home and recuperate from her "vacation" to our house.
I haven't seen her since August 2006 so it was fun to chit-chat and be with family. Thanks to her family too for letting her come and brighten our weekend. We love you Aunt Amy!
p.s. We have the most lovely Autumn colors this week. And this makes me happy! For some reason it is blazing hot though as the high is 75 tomorrow. So - we'll enjoy our red and orange leaves for now and look forward to some hot chocolate weather soon.

How great that Amy got to visit! You all look so great!!! Bummer that you got sick during the visit, but Nurse Amy is so handy in those situations. She was our hero last winter when we were all so sick.
Sisters are the BEST! That is such a cute picture and you barely look pregnant!
Heather does look amazingly cute pregnant! Her kids are really delightful and it was so fun to see what they are like in person. Thanks for the awesome family connecting time, Heath!
What a good sister Amy is!
Sisters are the best in stressful times. I hope you're feeling better!
It sounds like for the most part the visit was fun. Sometimes I really wish I had a sister.
What cute pictures of you and Amy and your kids. What a blessing to have her come for such a weekend. I hope you're feeling better!
