Elmer's Glue & Bumble Bees

Back to mothering for me today. I could hardly keep my eyes open for half the day and the other half we just played and did activities and little work (that will have to wait for another day). I have this book with little projects for pre-school type activities. I printed out this school house and then gave the kids Elmer's Glue in a cup, a Q-tip, macaroni, sea-shell noodles, and navy beans. Hannah and Abe both enjoyed themselves for a good half hour.

Hannah's prize from Utah was a new CTR Ring and a Choose the Right Bracelet. So - she decided to wear her green outfit to match. She always asked me to make a crown so she could be a princess today so that explains her outfit.

Abe as you can see was still wearing his jammies until 4 in the afternoon. He is starting to get a cold. Poor kiddo.

And the last photo is of a GIGANTIC bumble bee enjoying the pollen on our Wisteria blossoms (which, by the way, half bloomed and then froze - bummer!)

We thoroughly enjoyed Janey's Taco Soup recipe for supper tonight. I used pinto beans, black beans, and refried beans. I completely forgot the cumin (not surprising since I can hardly make a recipe without forgetting at least 1 thing). But it was tasty!

Happy Birthday Mae Ann! Seems like so many kids I know are turning the big ELEVEN! Hope it was a fun one!

I think Heidi and Hannah would be great friends. Heidi wants to wear a dress everyday because she thinks she is a princess if she is wearing a dress. What a cute little princess Hannah is. So cute.
