Love

Tonight was one of my all-time favorite meetings - the General Relief Society Broadcast. I went to the Stake Center and watched it. I LOVED IT! First of all, it is always just nice to get together with other sisters without our kids and have a spiritually uplifting event. I love the opening song with the woman who sang like an angel. What a great message! ..."That other souls may feel His love through me." Sister Parkin seems like such a sincere, real person who understands the discouragements that women face. She reminded me that perfection is a process and to appreciate the journey. Sister Hughes is so perky and bright. I learned from her to capture the memories during the times when I feel the spirit and the Love of the Lord. Those memories will strengthen me when life is more difficult. I liked that she reminded us that the Lord is in the details of our lives. Sister Pingree reminded me that reaching upto the Savior brings peace, faith, comfort. And isn't President Hinckley just so good. What a dear heart he has. Mostly I liked his story about the woman who prayed that she could spend just one night in heaven and that she'd come back the next morning....but the answer she got was that she wouldn't want to leave so He would just come and be with her in Spirit to strengthen and fortify her. Every woman understands these moments! These are a few of the uplifting things I gained from my evening. Reach upward to Christ! Speak peace in our homes! Share His Love with others! Remember the moments of comfort! Pray to feel the Love of the Lord. Posted by Picasa
