School Pictures 2009-2010

My kids came home last week on picture day and showed us the smile they did for their photo. Jimmy and I about choked on our laughter because they were the zaniest forced smiles. We wondered how the actual photos would turn out.

But look at these darlings (of course, I think they are darling because I AM their madre!)

Abe's smile looks really sincere for him, with a slight sparkle in his eye like right before he laughs. I love his photo especially with his glasses. He came home from school with his pictures so excited. He made me close my eyes while he got 'the best thing of all' out of his backpack. "Ta-da! Surprise.... my school pictures." Abe goes on his first field trip the day after we have our baby and he is really excited. Today for his show-n-tell he took his Lightning Mcqueen car. And last Monday they had Johnny Appleseed Day and he decided he really liked yellow apples.

Abe comes home from school happy every day. He enjoys the bus and recess. The day he went to computers was a fantastic day and he kept commenting on how much he loved having his very own computer at school. We likah this kindergarten kid!

As for Hannah ... she came home dismayed because she thought her smile was way too big. It's not her normal smile, but still turned out cute. She really wanted to grow her hair for 1st grade and it's much longer than last year.
She is loving school and has been doing very well at tidying up her handwriting. Her teacher tells them to always do their best work and I think she has tried really hard.

Hannah is so in love with school lunch. She tries all sorts of new things and mostly loves the chocolate milk. She keeps eating apples to try and get that loose front tooth out.

She also has announced that she is not going to have any more crushes. "No, I do not have a crush on Kyle. I don't. Totally. He like pulls my hair when he walks by. And today he told me that my shirt looked like a laffy-taffy and he pretended to eat it." Oh - it's only just beginning. Yikes!

And so lil' Max doesn't feel left out, we'll plug in a recent photo of him. This was taken the day of the primary program a few weeks ago. He was into the Kryptonite necklace phase. This is what he gives us when we tell him to show us his smile. That kiddo! But don't be deceived by that darling smile and cute eyelashes... he was quite the tot during sacrament meeting that day. He's mastered the art of tantrums, much to his mother's dismay. But his vocabulary is slightly expanding and we are pleased with his efforts in that regard.
