The Good News Moment

Do you have the Good News Minute in Relief Society? I always think it's so funny that somehow they do it in each place we live. Is it somehow a general Relief Society thing?

I like it. Even though I don't think I've ever shared anything with the group, it's a great idea to think of all the good news in my life each week.

Here are the randoms for today:

1. Sold the too-small shoes on Ebay. Yay!

2. Sold our old crashed computer for $300 on Craigslist. (Jimmy put a new hard drive in it to sell)

3. Sold a really old computer screen and an old laptop recently on Craigslist.

4. Jimmy headed to the caselot sale at Macey's to be Mr. Muscles for me. I love stocking up on sugar and flour and canned goods.

5. The rest of us headed to the flu shot clinic to get that taken care of. $60 later (the not-so-good-news) we came out vaccinated (the good news for flu season).

6. Last weekend I made some peach freezer jam. I also decided to freeze the remaining 17 peaches. I can't wait to enjoy them this winter. I hope to do a few more batches of frozen peaches before this babe arrives. If only I had a nice roomy spare freezer to fit all my favorite summer foods.

7. I avoided buying bread all week because I was determined to get some made. Today - finally - I buckled down and made some. The fam enjoyed it just fine, but it wasn't my finest baking ever. No major catastrophes though!... and that's always a miracle for me and bread!
