Thanks for workin' hard

Today my neighbor commented on what a hard worker Jimmy is. And it's true.

He learned how to work hard physically. Jimmy's also great at completing projects in a timely manner.

Last year he did our sprinklers and sod. This year he's doing the swingset and garden spot.

Today, our neighbor had some extra sod, so Jimmy went to work to finish our garden area. We had planned a larger area for rock and a bench, but we decided to do a tiered garden spot and fill the rest with grass. It was a windy day threatening of rain ALL DAY LONG but it didn't start to sprinkle until he was about finished.

Here's the hard worker in action.I think Jimmy would have made a great farmer or rancher because I think he enjoys the fulfillment of working hard and seeing the fruits of his labors (I don't know, he might disagree with the farmer/rancher thing).

And then there's me - In Jr. High when I filled out one of those assigned career assessment things, it said I would make a great Shoe Repairman. What kind of job is that for me?!?! I know I work hard as a mother keeping Max and tots out of mischief, but physically I'm not muscular and don't have long endurance. I guess I wasn't meant to be Pioneer Woman.

Anyhoo... I'm grateful to have a husband who is willing to do lots of good projects and work for our fam. Thanks, my love!

I'm glad you didn't become a shoe repairman, Heath. Jimmy reminds me of my friend Kathy's husband, Alex. They do similar jobs in computer stuff I don't understand, but Alex grew up on a big ranch/farm in Idaho and is a hard worker outside, too. That looks great, Jimmy.
