a bit of earth: my friend was giving away oodles of her iris bulbs (because they spread like crazy so she had extra). I decided we should take some and fill up our flower bed until we get more shrubs... only they sat in the back of my car for a week+. Today in the frigid temps, I went outside and dug 4 holes to plant the bulbs in. Hopefully they'll survive. I hear they are resilient little bulbs. I'm hoping that in the spring, I'll be seeing some of these in my yard...
Conference Ensign: I love receiving this edition in the mail. Thanks to the local Lehi UPS print shop, my addition has spiral binding, a plastic cover and backing (like $2 total) which turns it into a more sturdy book to take notes in. I love when I make the effort to read these talks. I am always uplifted and feel glad I took a few minutes.
homemade cafe rio pork salad: always a yummy dinner to look forward to all day.
Max: this kid has so much enthusiasm for simple things. He finds such delight when anyone arrives home. He runs to the door, greets them with a hug and a huge smile, and says, "You home?" And the other morning when he had the rough cough of a seal (croup!!), he thought it was so funny and every time he coughed he laughed so hard. love him!

ummmm...I've become a sweet pork salad from Cafe Rio addict! Do you have a recipe for the dressing?
Love the idea of binding the conference edition too!
