fresh COURAGE take ... makes my soul sing

This quote spoke to me ... a lot!

"There are days when we go to bed so discouraged. Our senses tell us we are moving backwards and doing more harm than good. While attending to one child’s needs, another child’s needs go unmet even though we’ve worked ourselves silly trying to meet everyone’s needs. But chin up! Courage take! The reality of the situation is that there is more than meets the eye (or any of the other senses!). The Spirit is working in ways we can’t see to help us and to make up for our lack of ability and resources. The reality is that we are moving forward despite the illusion that we are moving backward!" Sherrie Johnson

There are moments when I think some of the good things I attempt to teach my kids actually sinks in. Today - I definitely had HOPE for my tots.

Abe came home from church and showed me his little folded up paper from a notebook. During Sacrament Meeting he had copied the 13th Article of Faith from one of our quiet books. This is a big step for Abe to focus and copy all the letters so well. He was so proud of his efforts. I want to hang it on my bathroom mirror to remind myself every morning to chin up and look forward to the blessed moments.

We've been practicing the Apostles Song and the kids surprised me today by having memorized it. Here's the video of the kids doing it together. They had to go slower than they wanted, but at least we can semi-understand them.

Next up: The Book of Mormon Song.

Fresh Courage Take!!! Onward and Upward ... forging into another week on the homefront.
