summertime - week 10 - i think

summer... started out organized with lots of energy. i think i lasted like 6 weeks. then i slipped.

i keep trying to get back on that wagon, but this mother is faltering {to be unsteady in purpose or action}.
"It's hard to tote around 4 tots," said she.

we're still doing colorful things... just not as consistently as the kids might like.

but fun is still being had... hopefully.

We tried to visit a few more temples for our Utah Temples Tour that we started 2 years ago. My kids should have been in Sunday clothes and not in shorts and flip flops. Oops! But they sure had fun seeing the Draper and Mt. Timpanogos temples. Well, they had fun at the Draper temple. We sang and walked around and it was very windy and shady and lovely. It was hot at the Mt. Timp temple and the tots were getting cranky and tired. But it was still a lovely temple.

Cranked out the chores especially on Work Wednesday.

We've had so much rain lately and I LOVE IT! We had 2 hail storms with pretty big hail for these parts.

Freebie section of Clark planetarium provided an hour of some fun. I loved how the kids tried to float around the moon. They made good martians on Mars too.

The flash blew out this photo of cute Tru with Grandpa, but i love it. They were sitting out on the patio and Grandpa was playing Under the Sea music and Tru just sat there... with that closed mouth smile... enjoying it. The kids had fun eating lunch and having popsicles outside with Grandma & Grandpa. The always look forward to visiting them.

Abe shaped the 4 mini loaves of bread. Somehow they ended up looking like mountains. We all laughed ... and still enjoyed the tasty bread.

Hannah learned to ride without training wheels after a summer of practice. She needs to graduate up to her bike without training wheels, but for now, she'll stick to Abe's shorter one. Go Hannah!

Jimmy - always doing lots of work in the yard. On Saturday he mowed our yard and the neighbors (no one lives there and we want to keep the yard alive!). He keeps things spiffed up around here. Now I need to work shrubs and a few more trees into the budget. sigh...

Tru - oh Tru. He's very serious lately. We have to work so hard to pull a smile out of him. He grinds his teeth. He loves to crawl on the grass. He's acting shy with strangers. This week he found the steering wheel on the swingset.
