first day of school

i hardly know what to do with myself this morning. i can't wait to hear how the first day of school goes for hannah and abe.
hannah was nervous.
abe was excited.
hannah wanted me to drive them to school.
abe wanted to take the bus.
so - we compromised.
they rode the bus and i met them at the school to help them know where to line up on the playground.
and i was so proud of myself - i didn't even shed one tear. this is big news people!

hannah stayed close to mom until the bell rang.
abe ran and played on the playground with a friend.
they will both do great!

i suppose i ought to go watch over this 2-year-old who has been a bit beastly this week. max has 3 years until kindergarten. i'm not sure whether to rejoice or cry... or both. this year we're working on teaching him to speak, go potty, and be nice to tru. i have my work cut out for me.

as for this little one, he is sleeping as i type. sweet dreams buddy tru.

Adorable kids! Proud of you for not crying. I think the first day is always rough. Then after I get in the routine and schedule I enjoy the kids in school. But I sure hate having summer end. Good luck with the two year old. I am empathizing with you with my own. :)
