Operation home clean-up... bye-bye VHS

Here we are in 2010 ... and here we are ... FINALLY getting rid of VHS (which stands for Video Home System, by the way). VHS was launched in 1976 - the year of my birth. And 34 years later, they are pretty much phased out.

But it was still tough to get rid of some oldie classic vhs tapes... Anne of Green Gables (sigh - love that!), Star Wars, Indiana Jones, You've got Mail, White Christmas, Pollyanna, Mary Poppins, Sound of Music, Singing in the Rain (which Hannah LOVES lately), Here Comes the Groom, The Scarlet Pimpernel, I.Q., Parent Trap, and oodles of those old church tapes. I know it doesn't matter. I think we'll survive with a few less movies.

Out with the old and on with the new, I guess. But what is the new? Seems like Digital Download might just take over dvd & blu-ray, huh?

anyhoo... we're on our way to living the philosophy of "Less is more".

Hmm, we are trying the less is more theory, too, but it's slow going for me to reduce our clutter!
