a letter to the bloggie

Dear Blog:

You may not see much of me this summer. For you see... I do not have as much quiet/computer time as I once had. Especially tonight you will not hear of today's adventures because I have this disaster to conquer:
You understand, don't you blog? I told my husband I was taking a picture of the kitchen. "You're that proud of it?" said he. Well... I'm proud of the kids for having the talent to stack dishes so high without them toppling over, especially all those sticky popsicle wrappers.

Sigh... What is a mother to do in summertime? We must enjoy the PERFECT weather outside... we must. We have been trapped indoors all winter long and we are now FREE to enjoy the beauties in our yard and neighborhood. It's amazing... we actually see people - real people... neighbors. We see green - green grass. We see flowers, and clouds, and trees, and gardens, and mountains, and lakes. It is REAL and oh, so lovely!

So, dear journal blog... know I have good intentions to keep the record current... but my home needs me while the children sleep... for we have adventures to tend to tomorrow and I have no more counter space.

Love ~ The mother of this home

p.s.
The dishes are dirty, stacked and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
