A Glorious Trip to Idaho

I really enjoyed our trip to Idaho. It was hard to travel with 4 tots, but the scenery was beautiful and it was so nice to see family and dear friends. I love my Idaho. I love that Rexburg has a temple. I love the fields... the sprinklers... the clouds. I love it.

Tru actually did pretty well on the drive there. On the drive home he cried for 2 long hours. Max cried/screamed at Truman for an hour or so. Not fun. The timing of things (bottles/baby food) must not have worked out as well as we hoped. Max was so funny though on this trip ... every single time he got into the car, he was so amazed at the TV. It delighted him.

Hannah and Abe seemed to enjoy themselves on our trip. The moment we crossed the state line, I asked what they thought. With such animation in their voices, the proclaimed that "Idaho is sooooo much greener than Utah." The kids loved swimming, playing with cousins, and sleeping in the hotel.
We cut our trip a day short when we realized it was more realistic to just stay one night. I'm glad I did because all of us sleeping in one room was hard... mostly for me. I was worried all night that we would all wake each other up. Jimmy had an upset stomach. Abe was tossing and turning under the noisy sheets. Hannah said Abe was stealing the blankets. Tru kept waking and crying. And Max - that funny boy slept so well and snuggled himself into the bottom of his bed and snoozed through it all. So - glad for only one night.

But it was good. I'm so glad we went. I'm glad the kids could get to know their cousins. I wish I had better photos of the whole group, my siblings, and parents. Sigh... But we enjoyed hanging out with everyone.

The reason it all came together was the Teton Dam Run that some of the family did. I was so proud of everyone who ran. Seeing as I can't hardly run a bit right now, I think finishing a 5K or 10K is so amazing.

It was also fun to see Alison & Kristi. I wish I could have seen more friends but our time was limited. I have fond memories with these dear friends.
