Work, work, work on Saturday

I know Saturday is a special day, it's the day we get ready for Sunday.
BUT...
It's also about the only day to conquer major work projects as a family.
So instead of tidying the inside, last Saturday I focused on the garage.
And Jimmy finished the fence. Yay!

Here's the before and after of the garage.
This was a little extra untidy since we had fence stacked in our garage for a week and all the other stuff came out of it's place. We threw tons of junk away and bundled up all those small things into bins.

We put the tots to work, work, work!
Here's the summary of the photos:

Kids hauled fence slats to the backyard.

Max helped clean up tumbleweeds.

He even hauled some fence. I couldn't believe he could hold that long thing.
Abe helped so much in the garage. He swept, scrubbed dust off tool boxes. He scrubbed the back door.

Jimmy forged onward with the fence... getting a sunburn in the process.

We had about a boatload of dirt that we swept up in the garage. Icky dusty goo.

Max... you see that shirt. Well, it's the last time you'll see that shirt. Later in the day, he got into a jar of my Mary Kay Emolient cream (which is like pure grease - wonderful stuff). Well, he slathered it all over himself and his shirt... so it headed to the garbage. On the plus side... Max sure had soft yummy smelling skin.

A fence almost completed by the swingset. See that roof. It's new too.

Heather cleaning out the garage. We found the kid potty and Max tried pulling off his pants right then and there out in the open. We took it inside and disinfected it and then he gave it a go. He said it wasn't working.

Hannah eating yogurt. The kids seemed to need snacks every 5 minutes. Let's work people!

Jimmy with the nearly completed fence. Yay!

Max loves drinking out of straws, especially if he's lucky enough to get a half can of soda.

And that about concludes our Saturday of work. We're glad it's sunny and slightly warm enough to get some vitamin D. I love our clean garage. It's so pleasant now!

Your kids are such good helpers. If you ever need help with anything big like this Ryan would love to help.
