I could definitely keep this weather year-round.... which I suppose, is why people move to San Diego. Not too hot... but you can still wear flip-flops. Love it!
We had lots going on this weekend. Saturday was a whirlwind of people and activities. It was a good day though... a really good day with the kids.
- going to stake baptisms with Hannah to see her friend Anissa get baptized. I kept getting teary-eyed thinking about Hannah getting baptized in November. What a neat thing though!
- a few different friends over to play.
- Jimmy is building a fence for a portion of our yard (in hopes that Max won't run into the neighbors yard over by our swingset. I'm so excited to have that part blocked off. Jimmy works so hard for our family. He's a good man to dig 9 holes for those posts. His brothers Paul and John came and helped out too. Bless those hard-working Smith boys!
- Max did some measuring for Jimmy. He rode his bike. He carried a 2 liter of Root Beer around the kitchen in hopes that I would open it. It quite exploded once I did open it for him.
- We broke out the popsicles to the children's utter delight.
- wind-down time watching movies in mom's bed while eating popcorn.
- lots of baseball practice. I'm not a very good pitcher. Abe has improved so much since last year. He does better throwing the ball and swinging. He sure loves it.
- the kids loved playing Ladder Ball with the uncles. What a fun gift from Uncle Phil. Even Max really enjoyed it. "I did it" was heard often from him.
- Hannah played frisby with the uncles too and she is really getting good at throwing a controlled frisby. She was talking all weekend about being the most athletic girl in our family.
Well - that covers most of it. It was a good, busy day. Only.... I wondered how all of our Saturday morning cleaning was undone by the end of the day. I need to go put the house back together.
