Truman is Half a year old

Cute Truman is 6 months old (well... last Monday ... technically). I know, I know... I should have taken those silly socks off in that photo. They are all floppy and such. But isn't he the cutest little person.

He weighs in at

16 lbs 2 oz - 25%

He's a tall one at

27" - 75%

and has a wee little head at

43.3 cm - 25%

Truman is a bit serious sometimes and it takes a lot of work to get a good hearty laugh out of him. He really likes the kids and smiles a lot for them. This photo is a good one of Tru because it shows his serious side. He's a mellow little one.

I took a picture of the "Before" hairdo (fuzzy and such)... see first photo. Then I tried to spike it in the front, but it ended up in a faux-hawk baby style. Abe came home from school and said, "Mom, will you fix Truman's hair. I don't like it that way." So today he asked me to slick Truman's hair like his.

Truman can roll over but doesn't like to. He needs to practice more, I think. He thinks if he arches his back and squawks really, really loud and long, that mom will pick him up. He can sit up a little. But mostly he seems content to be immobile. I'm okay with that for now, because I can't imagine chasing a crawling infant and a 2-year-old Max all day.

Overall, Truman is a really sweet baby. Some nights he sleeps 11 hours... some nights he wakes twice. We need to work on that one. He rarely falls asleep outside of his bed. He snuggles into those blankets and falls asleep. He does not like tummy time. He likes to be carried. He does not like the bright sunshine.

Truman has been practicing a new talent of shoving his entire fist in his mouth. This is such a funny stage for babies. He has a little mouth so he can only get 4 fingers in.

One thing I think is so sweet about Truman is when he cries and gets so scared at the sound of grocery sacks. He gets worked up so quickly and it reminds me how tender and sweet his little soul is. Here he is "helping" with dinner preparations.
