The day of Green finally arrived. The kids were so delighted to be surprised by Lucky the Leprechaun. He turned the milk green (which nobody wants to drink). The milk made the waffles green (which Max wouldn't eat). Lucky left a wee bit of his pot of Gold (which the kids didn't like because they were caramels). But they liked the idea of it all. They loved the little shamrocks lucky left all over the house.
I didn't get a picture of everyone in green but Hannah and Abe especially were dressed in all shades of Green. Abe wore some sweats (seen in photo below) that were a tad too short. Hannah found lots of girly shades of green (seen below only from behind).
On St. Patrick's Eve I dyed the mashed potatoes green... which turned out to be a brilliant play-dough green color that wasn't the most appetizing. They clashed with the green beans. (unrelated: The meat loaf was so-so. at least I didn't turn it green).
We had Jimmy's friends from college over for a spaghetti dinner. Mark and Heidi were visiting from Washington and we haven't seen them since their wedding in 2001. Steve and Kristin live in Herriman and we don't see them as often as we ought. It was fun to get together and chat. Abe and Alyssa (see below) are the funniest of friends. He is so much taller than she is, but they love playing together.
Oh - and Smith's had green jello (melon fusion) on clearance so I loaded up.
Go Green!
