Feels like TODAY

Do you know that song by Rascal Flatts? It really has nothing to do with anything, except for that I thought of it... anyways...  I like to jog to it. ...anyways...
This was part of today.

BYU Women's Lacrosse at Westminster College. 35 degrees. Kids going bazerko in the sunshine. I think every kid needs bleachers to play on at least once in their childhood. They cheered and they cheered and they cheered some more. See in the photo that no one else is around. Well, we went to the far side so we wouldn't disturb those who wanted to see and hear the game. BYU won 17-6. Go coach Aunt Julie!

Unphotographable moment: delight from children to see Grandma and build with PlayMobil toys.

If you want a good chuckle, give your kids the camera for 5 minutes. They come up with the funniest angles and objects to photograph. Abe - his shoe. Hannah - her stuffed animal puppet and mountains. She was determined to get a photo of the "Beeeauuutiful mountains".

Hannah decorated our end table for a cute tea party complete with green jell-o, yogurt covered raisins and suckers. She dressed up beautifully for the event, crown and fancy dress and all. She even convinced Abe to leave his wii basketball game to participate. He's sure a trooper. She loves it all!

I did leave out:
~ the fighting fiasco and spilled water on library books on the drive to the lacrosse game.

~ the 7 other kids who came to play on the swingset in the freezing cold (Aaaaaak!) ... we turned all that into a kickball game. Do kids not play kickball anymore? Nobody knows how to play these days.  Max wouldn't leave home base because he wanted to kick every time.

~ Max throwing a mini tantrum because he didn't want to leave Wal-mart. You would cry too if it happened to you!

~ Tru not sleeping for Jimmy when I was gone with Hannah and Abe for half the day. I'm convinced he's still a good baby (even with a few bad days mixed in).

~ The Saturday Evening fiascos of baths and getting fingernails clipped. Have you ever tried to clip all the toes and fingernails of a 2-year-old if he has had enough? How is it possible to wiggle that finger so much when mom has such a good grip on it?

BUT overall... it was a good day. There is love. There is sunshine. There is wind which means spring is coming. There are clean kids (one sleeping with pink foam curlers in her hair).  And Jimmy, bless his heart, did all the laundry today. It was a truck load. He is a good, good man. Bless him!

We'll end with a video of Hannah and Abe's BYU cheer from the game:
