The Day of LOVE 2010

The Festivies of Valentine's Day started on Friday with school parties with oodles of Valentine's. I helped with Abe's party and we played BINGO. He said his favorite part was eating treats. Hannah decorated a pencil to look like a Valentine's Day Wand.

Saturday morning was spent at a party at Grandma's. Max ensured that nobody could hear anything - but despite his 2-year-old enthusiasm/drama (He was a pill! as Grandma Nelson would say), we had a lovely time.

The kids loved playing Mother-May-I, Spin the Bottle, Heart-Heart-Who-Has-The-Heart, Going fishing for prizes, and eating heart-shaped peanut butter sandwiches.
Hannah made some delightful valentine's for everyone and wrapped them for Sunday celebrations. The kids looked darling in their Valentine's clothes from Grandma. Abe was very proud of his new tie. Hannah loved the skirt and headband.

The day of LOVE ended with fishing for prizes. The kids got some groovy lava lamps and books.

I know I share this all the time, but this is my favorite quote about Charity by Marvin J. Ashton. It always inspires me to be better. (I swapped out the scripture for this quote in Becky Higgin's Love Notes idea)

The kids look adorable. I love that quote. I tried to copy it an email it to myself but couldn't. I need that printed and to read it everyday!
