Today under my computer desk lies a sparkly hot pink hula-hoop... placed there by my 2-year-old.
Today my baby released possibly the biggest burp of his life ... followed by possibly the biggest spit-up of his life. And then he smiled.
Today I am wearing my old painting sweats. Abe told me I should wash them to get the paint out. I already tried that.
Today I ate chocolate chip cookies for breakfast.
Today we walked to the bus though it was colder than I anticipated. I wore bright polka-dot galoshes.
Today I blew a fuse at lunchtime. I wish I hadn't.
Today I sorted through baby clothes to give away. It's hard for me to part with baby clothes.
Today I need sunshine.
Today Max did his happy feet dance.
Today the snow on the ground is melting. But it's also snowing. Weird.
Today I missed Hannah. She stayed after school for a class reading party.
Today I'm overwhelmed by a million teeny-tiny things that shouldn't be bothering me.
Today I'm also overwhelmed by the goodness of God and the blessings he gives me and my fam.
Today I wish I felt on top of something instead of behind on everything.
Today I took a long hot calming shower ... at 4 p.m. But at least I got a shower in.
Today my hair is curly.
Today I made pizza that wasn't very tasty.
Today we had wii family sports night. Hannah got the new high score for 100-pin bowling.
Today I'm glad for warm snuggly clothes.
ILMBOL (I Love my Beautiful Ordinary Life)
The idea for this post stems from mylifeisaverage.com. "It is a place to post the mundane things in your life, and read about what makes life normal for other people." Some are pretty funny. Some are too cynical for my taste. I like that we can find humor in ordinary moments.
So I put my own twist on this idea because although I live an ordinary sort of life... overall, it is a beautiful one.
