You know those days - when you don't wait for the garage door to open all the way and you start backing out... or later in the day your sis-in-law is parked in the driveway and you start backing out (don't worry - she honked in time for me to stop). I stepped on oodles of pointy toys in my clumsiness.
Today I was one of those emotional girls who felt that I was never going to be able to grasp my life ... like it's running away ... with me lagging behind never quite able to keep up... finances, dinners, laundry, kids, cleaning, etc.
Jimmy assured me things were not as bleak as I viewed them. I'm sure he's right.
And then my world calmed down a bit when the tots went to bed and I came across this article about the guys who started the "LIFE IS GOOD" Company.
Here's a few of my favorite quotes from that article:
"Optimism focuses on what's right with the world, rather than on what's wrong," says Bert. "It's tremendously empowering." While not an action in and of itself, it invites collaboration and outreach. "It allows you to meet new people, learn new things," he adds. "It's the belief in the possibility of something -- because then there's a chance of getting there."I loved this statement about their mother...
"I like being out of money," she'd say. "That way, I don't have to think about what I have to buy." When the whole family sat down to dinner, as they did every night, Joan would ask, "So, what good thing happened today?"This final one reminded me that I just need a better attitude (and maybe a good night's sleep) to start afresh tomorrow.
In the end, they say, we all have a choice. We can focus on what's wrong with the world, or we can see the sunny side, even when it rains.

Oh, man. I know what you mean about those days (hormones don't help, just ask my fam about me yesterday!). Optimism is totally where it's at. Positive energy, goodness, light. It's all there. Can do. :)
"Things work out, it isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out, don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It will all work out. If you do your best, it will all work out. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in him, if we will pray to him, if we will live worthy of his blessings, he will hear our prayers."
