Maybe you should do just that

Abe is now a CTR 5 and he came home sporting a mighty fine green ring perched on his squishy finger.

He walked in the door, took a long look at his new ring and said,
"Maybe I should always choose the right."

You probably had to be there to realize how funny and cute it was, but he said it like it was a brand new idea that just occurred to him.

Perhaps it was his way of setting a new resolve to make good choices always.

Jimmy resized it for him so it wasn't perched anymore. He was extremely thrilled for me to be taking photos of him with his new CTR ring (as you can see!).

The theme song for the day was "Choose the Right Way" which we sung at family scripture time and bedtime.  This story explains why:

During evening snack time we read all the short stories about being like Jesus in the Friend.  Afterwards I encouraged the kids to quickly get ready for bed and remember to be kind (because I'm well aware nightly of the battles that go on in the bathroom over usage of the toilet and sink).

Upon their arrival upstairs, I immediately heard complete shouting and then crying. They were quarrelling over who would go potty first. Abe won I guess.

Sigh... I guess we're all learning.

so cute that abe LOVES his CTR ring. you'll have to track how long he can hang onto it. our kids never last very long. . .

hopefully a whole years worth (plus three more) of Choosing the Right curriculum may just forge in him not only a decision but behavior to match :) until then, i might invest in some earplugs :)

That is so funny! Good thing he had such a good thought to choose the right. Isn't it fun when the light comes on? No matter how long it lasts. Porter and I have those conversations and he says he's going to be nice to Kyler and Lexi and then they get home from school and Porter starts teasing them again and wonders why they get mad at him. Um, hello?... Abe is so cute Heath. Can you believe they are CTR 5's? I love his sweater. What a handsome boy!

I just love that......"maybe I should always choose the right." :) so cute. I love all your posts. I totally know what you mean about staying home if you WANT to vs. because of the weather! I feel so TRAPPED in the winter sometimes. I am excited to hear more about your new venture.
