Gratitude - R

Today I had the kids pick one thing that started with R that they were grateful for.

Rainbows: "We are grateful for rainbows because they are so beautiful and so fun. That's all." (Hannah)

Abe said he wasn't grateful for anything that started with R until he heard Hannah mention Rhinoceros. Then he was excited about that idea.

Relief Society Declaration: I love the principles in this document which remind me of who I am and what I can be.

We are beloved spirit daughters of God, and our lives have meaning, purpose, and direction. As a worldwide sisterhood, we are united in our devotion to Jesus Christ, our Savior and Exemplar. We are women of faith, virtue, vision, and charity who:

Increase our testimonies of Jesus Christ through prayer and scripture study.

Seek spiritual strength by following the promptings of the Holy Ghost.

Dedicate ourselves to strengthening marriages, families, and homes.

Find nobility in motherhood and joy in womanhood.

Delight in service and good works.

Love life and learning.

Stand for truth and righteousness.

Sustain the priesthood as the authority of God on earth.

Rejoice in the blessings of the temple, understand our divine destiny, and strive for exaltation.

I couldn't find the original message by Sheri Dew with the declaration but she has a super talk HERE from the 2000 BYU Women's Conference highlighting 3 of the principles.

Just printed the talk off and I am taking it to bed with me. Thanks again for some lovely inspiration! :)
