I might survive...

...until we move.

12 days until we close on our house on May 23.

27 days until we move in on June 7.

I need to dejunk what we have unpacked in this house, so I don't have to pack it all ... and then I need to start organizing and packing stuff to move.

I also have a bunch of projects I want to plan .... such as:

-- refinish abe's dresser (a hand-me-down from a friend that needs to be restained or painted)

-- refinish 2 end tables (more hand-me-downs from a different friend). I think they could look great with a new darker stain.

-- build a laundry room shelf with metal hooks for keys/coats, shelves for shoes or baskets. Here's my idea for the built-in white shelf on a banana cream wall. I thought white beadboard would be cute as the back paneling. It didn't seem too expensive to build... we'll see.And Brittany had a wall similar to this that I thought would be cute to put on the wall next to this shelf thing.
Sometimes I have a bunch of decorating ideas and then when it comes down to putting it all together, it just doesn't turn out as I envision. But at least paint seems possible. We'll see what I can manage with funds and time. Is it possible to get stuff done with 3 kids under age 5? I'm realizing it's tricky.

Any ideas?

I'm so excited for you to move into your new house! I can't wait to see how your laundry room turns out with your shelves and the paint. Your plans sound great. I can't wait!

I love your new header on your blog. Did you make that in photoshop?
How exciting to be moving into your house soon - it will feel good to be settled rather than in limbo.
