Lacrosse. Aunt Julie (the one in black tights) plays on the girls BYU lacrosse club team and they had a tournament at the U of U this weekend. Jimmy's parents flew in from Maryland for the weekend. I was bummed because we could only go to one game on Friday because on Saturday it was too cold for all the little ones (and for me with my cold). But Friday was fun. My parents came and brought BBQ sandwiches. What a tasty picnic!Abe could hardly wait until the end of the game to go hold Julie's stick and practice throwing the ball with it. He had the biggest smile on his face. What joy a stick and ball can bring to a three-year-old.Aunt Julie stopped by Walmart on the way home and bought the kids some plastic lacrosse sticks. They will love playing if it ever gets warm here again. (We had snow this morning)And what do kids do at sporting events? Do they really watch? Only for a few minutes to cheer their little lungs out (so cute!), and then they play ball and run around and get tangled in the soccer nets.
And we can't leave without a drawing from Hannah. She is sitting on our bright green blanket with fuzzies with her sprite & a roll on her plate. She even remembered what number Julie was.

Wow, what a memorable day for you all! I have no idea how lacrosse is played...I'm going to look that up. I'll be Abe's biggest fan (not literally, Dad!).
