There's a Charley on my horse

Ay-Ay-Ay! All that square dancing from yesterday must have taken it's toll on my muscles for in the middle of the night, I found myself in sudden extreme pain with a Charley Horse in my calf. Poor Jimmy was awakened with a smack on the chest with his wife hollering for 'help' to rub it out. For some reason in all my pregnancies, I find that if I stretch my legs in a certain way at night, I am instantly in cramped muscle pain. So for today, I'm sure seeing this big pregnant lady waddle along with a limp while recovering from the leg cramp is not a delightful sight!

Oh I feel your pain. I get those when I am pregnant also, they are the worst. Hope it's feeling better!

Another good reason not to get pregnant! Not that I needed any reminders, but that one is excellent! I too suffered with this painful ailment while stretching at night while pregnant. What's up with that? Like an expectant mother needs something else to hinder the (im)possiblity of beauty rest - right? Hope that's the last one for you. They hurt!!

I get them so bad when I am pregnant! I found that I HAD TO conciously tell myself to relax my legs. The exact opposite of what I feel like doing. But it helped. I hope that helped!

Totally feeling you pains. I get these on a regular basis. Try eating a banana- the potassium works wonders!

Can I just say I really don't enjoy being pregnant. The sweet baby you get after 9 months of suffering make it all totally worth it. After each of my pregnancies I have vowed never to do that again, we'll see what happens in the future. I found that if I stood up as soon as I felt the charly horse the quicker it went away. Just a tip. Hope it helps.

I love that picture Heath. I've just started noticing leg cramps the last couple nights, although it's a bit early for me don't you think? They're not bad though. And I've had stomach cramps if I turn wrong while I stretch. Weird! :) Good luck with those! Not too much longer to endure.

Me, too! I can't stand it! I am SOOOO uncomfortable right now. I think my ribs are actually broken. My back feels like it is broken in ten different spots. But, like someone said, it is all worth it.
