Organizing paper stuff

I finally began the process of copying my blog images and text to put into Word so I could save & print it. It was so easy to just click on a month and then copy everything and paste into Word. I had to reformat a little to conserve on space in my document, but I now have 146 pages of blog journaling since July 2006. That is so much better than I would have done just writing my normal journal. I think it will be fun to have a more daily view of funny kid quotes and family happenings.

Also, for anyone interested in updating their cookbook. I found half size sheet protectors and half-size white binders with clear front insert for a good price at shoplet.com. And if you order enough, they have free shipping. Right now I have 3 very unorganized and incomplete cookbooks and this summer I want to reorganize them and redefine the categories so the recipes are easier to find. Mary put together a totally great cookbook and I liked her categories. Here is a document with some ideas. And here is a sample half-sheet size document that I like to use for my cookbooks.

Happy organizing!!

Heather - thanks so much for the tip! I've been wanting to find half-size sheet protectors. Isn't getting organized a good feeling?

I'm with ya on the blog as a journal thing! I have yet to print any out, but I plan on doing it. I would never have written as much as I do now.
