I sent Hannah to her room with some stories on cd from Great Grandma Nelson, Grandma and Grandpa Price, and Grandma Smith, and a challenge to clean her room. She did a splendid job working and she loved hearing all the stories. She took out all her jammies that were too hot for summer and put them on the shelf in the closet and she even folded her undies. She made the beds and put pillows and stuffed animals on. She is always so proud of having such a clean room after working so hard. A job well done!
And then tonight Abe was recruited to help tidy the toys strewn about the house. He can be a valiant helper when properly motivated (in this case, a game of Chutes and Ladders).
Hannah watched me scrub the bathroom sink tonight and she was completely amazed at how shiny everything was. Hmmm... I suppose she ought to see shiny more often around here.
