The end of August?

August seems to have flown by. I'm glad that this intense humid summer heat won't last much longer. Here I am at 24 weeks. Today for our trip to Target, I even parked in the Expectant Mother spot. I felt a wee bit silly because I guess I consider that spot for women in their 9th month or something, but I had both the kids, it was hot and humid, and we were making it a quickie trip. Anyhoo...

This week Jimmy and I watched the Ultimate Gift. I really had no idea what it was about except from Jan's blog recommending it. But I really liked it even though I kept crying through it. It reminded me that we have so many blessings in our life... even if we aren't bazillionaires; and also that things we perceive as trials sometimes teach us important values. In the show the main character discovers The Gift of Work, the Gift of Money, The Gift of Friends, The Gift of Learning, The Gift of Problems, The Gift of Family, The Gift of Laughter, The Gift of Dreams, The Gift of Giving, The Gift of Gratitude, the Gift of a Day, The Gift of Love, and the Ultimate gift. So now, I'm interested in reading the book. Has anyone read it?

Heather, I love your blog. I am so happy that you have one. I love to go on and make comments. I am going to go and rent this movie. It sounds really good. When is your baby due?

Never heard of it, but in my constant spirit of optimism, I am glad August is over.

I'm so glad you parked in the expectant mother spot! You totally deserve it. Take advantage of it! :)

We'll have to watch that movie. It looks like a great one, which is sometimes hard to find these days. Thanks for the recommendation!

I love the lessons learned--thanks for putting those on, Heath.
