Abe loved his first day at preschool. The kids just went half days this week because it was orientation week. He sure was tired by noon having just played outside on the playground. Abe did great when I left, though he seemed slightly more serious than usual (see photo with teacher). They are learning about the beach so he made this mini ocean with foam fish, seashells, some squishy green seaweed thing, and then blue hairgel in a plastic bag. Here is Abe telling about it.
We don't get quite as much info out of Abe about his day, but we'll assume he likes it since he seemed happy. They read a book about a turtle and he went down the slide. They ate animal crackers and had apple juice for snack. His favorite part was playing with cars he told us.
I had 3 whole hours to myself. It felt kindof lonely but quite refreshing. I could sing to the tunes in the car even. I drove into scary downtown and exchanged our free passes for Disney on Ice for Tickets. It went great and I didn't even get lost. We go next Thursday and Hannah is super excited. I ran to Payless Shoes and Walmart and going to the store is about a bazillion times faster without 2 little ones. Generally I'm the pregnant mama holding the kids hands with both Hannah and Abe trying to jump over every crack in the parking lot. It probably makes for a funny view. I'm thinking preschool will be a good thing for all of us!

Cute ocean, cute Abe! His words are great!
He is so cute. I love how you have video on your blog. I am going to have to learn how to do that.
Heather you are such a cute mom. I loved the video of you and Abe. What lucky to kids to have you! And they look so cute going to preschool. And can I say that I'm a little jealous of the free time you will be having from 9:30-2?!!
