Just Stuff

Here we are on Friday the 13th. Jimmy has been busy busy with Youth Conference this week. He has worked really hard and had to pick up the pieces from those who didn't work as hard. We all will be super glad for tomorrow when it is finished.

We've had quite the week potty training Abe. He actually is doing quite well and I'm surprised. But those few accidents have almost set my emotions in quite a tizzy. This morning we headed to the big mall to get out of the house and ride the carousel. Abe was doing an awesome potty dance in the Disney Store so we rushed to the restroom and amazingly enough, he went on a big black potty (even with no Diego potty seat). I was so proud of him. The only problem was that I forget to teach him to aim without the little shield so his pants were a bit soaked. Yikes! Good thing we were at a place with children's pants for sale.

And the kids loved riding the carousel. Hannah rode the bunny she named Sarah (she names everything special Sarah and told me she wants to name her baby that someday)... and Abe wrote the ever so masculine white horse with a flower garland around its neck. But he sure had a big smile. Hannah was aching to buy something with her money at the Disney Store. She has $1.42. The $1 is a gold coin which would be more cool to save than spend on a pack of gum. So I told her we'd find some extra jobs for her to earn some more money so she can save and buy something fun at Target.

I am thoroughly enjoying the banana bars I made last night (see the recipe blog). I didn't even mess it up so it really must be easy. I've done something wrong to about every dessert recipe in the past few months so I was pleased to have something turn out yummy. As for me and my pregnancy. I'm 17 weeks today. We have our ultrasound August 7. I don't fit in my normal clothes anymore but maternity ones are saggy baggy. Kind of that awkward stage where you just look big. But then I think of December and remember what 9 months BIG really is.

Congrats on being preggo! Love the potty training story... one of those I'm looking forward to and regretting at the same time! *B

Hey, Heath-good job adventuring out to the mall. I bet it was cool at least. Good job growing a baby! And I wish I could convince my kids to save money more (Trevor actually does really well saving).

I am glad your banana bars turned out, I hate when recipes doesn't turn out how you expected, especially desserts. I will have to try them.
I haven't had my ultrasound yet, hopefully next week. I am now 22 1/2 weeks. I can't wait to find out what you are having. Oh, and I hate being in the awkward in between clothing stage.

Love that Hannah knows what she wants to name her kids already. How cute is that? Hope youth conference went well. Those seem to be a big deal. Did we ever go to anything like that? Good job Abe!! I'm still afraid of black toilet seats - seriously. They freak me out. Love you guys!
