A Cow

Hannah was sitting by me and drew this picture of a cow. I asked what the part in the middle was and she said, "where you squeeeeeeze the milk out." Kids are so funny. Here are my memories of cows - just what you wanted to hear today I'm sure.
- Cornflakes (was that the name), our cow we had when we lived in Sugar City. Cornflakes had a calf and Brother Murphy had to come help out since dad was gone or something.
- Smell of cows at the Gee's where I took piano... since there was a dairy across the street. Funny thing that I almost like the smell of a cow farm since it reminds me so much of Idaho. I know - weird.
- Milking cows on a date with Doug Gardner. One crazy experience! Decided I didn't want to be a milk maid after that one.
- Seeing Elizabeth's cow named 'Dinner'. I believe he is no longer eating but is now being eaten. Thinking of 'Dinner' always makes me smile at that name.

I promise - No more Cow posts!

I love this post! I'm also glad we don't still live across from a dairy, but cows are good. They are calm and nice and they are very good to eat. They produce milk (and thus ice cream) so we love them. And Hannah's drawing is so anatomically correct, it's amazing! Fun post guys :)

Cute picture! And fun memories, Heather. It's funny to think that we had a cow. And I so agree, cows are such a good reminder of Idaho and all the good ol' days.

Thanks for the laugh. Yes 'Dinner' was eaten. In fact it is time for 'Brisket' to go the way of her long lost friend. It makes me laugh to think I have a cow and a goat, but the kids (including Andy) sure love them.

Too funny. The other night we were out at a house Dave is building and there is a field of cows behind it and the kids were picking grass to feed them and one of the kids sneezed and scared the whole herd and they all started running like crazy. It was so funny. I laughed my head off. Good ol' cows. Fun memories, Heath.
