Our New Shelf System

Today when Jimmy came home from lunch he put up the shelf system. Hurray! We are so excited to have all these places to put our books and statues. It may take a while to find the right items to go on the shelves. When Hannah saw the shelf she said, "Wow, that is a cool shelf. It is like Grandpa's." And then she said that we need to get a bell to put on our shelf...like a special Memphis Bell (since Grandma and Grandpa have a bell on theirs). As we were putting it up, I was nervous about it being tipsy, but Jimmy assured me he would anchor it. He put 4 anchors into 4 studs in the wall. It is quite sturdy now. Thanks for all your hard work Jimmy to make us a lovely shelf!

Other exciting business in our house today...LAUNDRY! Hannah and Abe helped me sort it all this morning and we are slowing plugging away at this tedious task. I decided it would be a good idea to include daily duties in our family scrapbook so that is why I took a picture of our mountains of laundry. A quote from Everafter comes to mind, "A country's character is defined by its everyday rustics." According to Webster a Rustic is "an unsophisticated rural person." Well - perhaps this doesn't exactly apply, so we shall change some words... "Our life is defined by everyday tasks, joys, challenges, faith, and love." I'll never become a screenwriter with that alteration, but this is definitely true to life.

How does one make laundry look so charming? Only you could do it, Heather!

And the shelf system is very cool. You all should sell your design to Home Depot or something. Nice, fast work on it, too.

Good work!
