This week was good in some ways and hard in some ways. It was busy but we had some funny moments. Today I read a quote that said something about how life isn't made up of days, but of moments. So I'll focus on the shining moments of this week.
1. Hannah: "Mom, why does Frosty the Snowman say, 'let's make a potty out of it?'" Mom: "He says, 'let's make a party out of it. He says it with an accent." But really... how is a 4-year-old to know these things.
2. Hannah and Abe with Santa hats on in Hobby Lobby walking around saying 'ho, ho, ho'. I'd never heard Abe say it before but he sure was saying it loud and cute. I think all the old people in the store were glad when we left.
3. When in the shower, Abe came in crying, crying. I hollered to Hannah to ask her to give Abe a love. It was so cute to see her willingly giving him a big hug of comfort. Then she got him some Goldfish Crackers to help him feel even better.
4. Six orders for SFD + a few more I'm waiting to hear back on. This may not sound like much, but it keeps this mama busy. It is fun to see everyone's photos and create something darling with them.
5. Watching Abe do the actions to the Wise Man and the Foolish Man. I really need to video record this as it is very funny. He really gets into it.
6. A reminder from Jimmy that worrying doesn't help much. This is a quote I heard from an Extreme Home Makeover, "So many things to think about, but nothing to worry about." I must remember this. REMEMBER...REMEMBER...REMEMBER.
7. Enjoying the gentle lights from the Christmas Tree. I love Christmas time... hot chocolate with candy canes in it...holiday tunes...santa hats on toddlers saying ho, ho, ho...bells of joy...hearts of love...peace...thoughts turned to Christ.
Off to bundle up some packages and to watch a girly movie. Oh - I just thought of this cute story. Once when Jimmy and I were living in Provo, we had just left the temple and we saw this old woman walking down the big hill. We stopped to offer her a ride. She had a thick german accent and was so nice. When we dropped her off at her home, she said, "Have a vunderful rest of de day, und a vunderful tomorrow." I love that! We were blessed by her. Au Revoir!
